The Montgomery County chapter of Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) meets at 7:00 p.m. on alternate Wednesdays in Bethesda. This peer support group has been active since 1982. Membership is open to anyone who is in treatment for depression or bipolar disorder. There is no charge to join the group or attend the meetings. Weather policy: DBSA Montgomery County does not meet if Montgomery County public schools are closed due to weather.    

Everyone deserves to have a friend and this group is meant to help shy or anxiety-full young adults (in their 20s and 30s) from the northern Washington suburbs (Potomac, Rockville, Chevy Chase) to make friends thru meetups for drinks and conversations (perhaps more and different events down the road). Please don't hesitate to join if you are in your twenties and thirties and are struggling, for whatever reason, in finding a friend.
